LOL equating Portland to Portlandia TV show. If ignorance is bliss, there's a happy camper or two out there.

Nope, I would suggest you do a little research on the demographics of the state.

This map is the whole country, but you can see in CA where Red dominated, far from just the northern tip

Lakeside, Santee and Ramona (San Diego Co). Covina, Azusa and Glendora (San Gabriel Valley). Dublin, Pleasanton and Danville (outer east bay area). Orange County. These are the areas I know of near the coast. Otherwise, lots of inland areas in the state.

As the map suggests, the most conservative area of California is the far northeast (Modoc, Lassen, Shasta, Tehama, Butte counties).

The reddish areas farther south, mainly in the big valley, are indeed conservative but also heavily Latino, which the OP might not find congenial.

The places where you'll find lots of white conservatives, these days, tend to be inland, and are also places where lots of middle and lower class native born PoC have fled to.

Rather than looking at it in terms of "places where there are conservative whites" I look at it as places where middle and lower class people who do real work (or want to do real work but can't find it) congregate.

This is as opposed to the high priced increasingly out of touch coastal enclaves where the elites can be found.

MOD CUT Plenty of liberals in the middle and lower class who do real work. And anyone who wants to do real work can find it. Anyone who is unemployed wants to be.

I looks like the OP should consider moving to Oklahoma.
