Houston Facts and Figures

Economy & Trade

Stated from a comfortable Berth in the liberal heartland of California, where the economy of California apparently provides the poster with a job, and that was enough to remove the poster post haste (kind of a pun there, eh?) from the workers paradise of East Texas.

Made not one ounce of sense to anyone but you.

What does East TX have anything to do with Houston? Houston is rarely regarded as a part of East Texas and is more closely associated with the Coastal Bend along the Gulf of Mexico; as has been the case for most of the city's recent history.

Do you have critters? Other than the dog?

Do you grow your own veggies?

Got a few cats. Have near an acre, thanks for asking. Some oranges, grapefruit, 2 stubborn avocados that don't produce, plum, almond. Sometimes grow veggies, lol.

So, so true about Houston having a thuggish vibe.. Even the Galleria, with it's upscale stores, is pretty ghetto. I will say that I went to the BBQ Cook off/Livestock Show and Rodeo a few years ago and had a great time. It did help that I had an all access pass to the food tents.
