When I expressed opinions about "climate refugees" in a different forum people skoffed.

Thing is, some of these warmer states they're moving to includes hurricanes and extreme heat. I don't think there's a state that's totally protected from natural disasters.

Bothered me to read that paragraph about Oregon, though. Yes, "hipsters" have increased in Portland, and a lot of them hang out in the streets due to lack of jobs.

Fine and well when you're in good health. Maybe you'll be lucky and keel over while chopping wood on your place when you're 95, but if not, this song's title is my mantra when I have to compromise.

If I missed something, it's because your posts as of late are becoming almost physically painful to read. You got me here, I confess I didn't read it entirely.

The physically painful-to-read posts continue to be the long streams of robotic regurgitation full of outdated links, irrelevant facts and boring charts, all vomited up by people who are attempting to compensate for horrible choices in life.

Ah, but I'm not in good health. I've been partially paralyzed for months and am facing major, spinal surgery shortly which can be very dicey as it will be both cervical and lumbar to relieve pressure on both my spinal cord and various nerves..

Regardless, I prefer to stay put!

The state motto should be "Now more needier than ever." Just kidding.
