Is Austin Texas humid? I thought it was mainly down by the Gulf area that was muggy.
At any rate, Redding was mentioned ..... I think Chico should also be in the running, it's cute in some parts, warm, and dry. Not too terribly expensive. |

You want to move the the Coachella Valley then!!! You should check out La Quinta, Palm Desert, some parts of Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage and some parts of Indio (Shadow Hills area). We really don't have winter here and you can find something in your budget here. PM me if you want more info.

Hi Sadie85... I'm in the central valley of CA... we have a nice home to sell ya
we are LEAVING this state and heading NORTH... to eastern WA. My bro and family live near Joplin, MO and would like us to move there. I hate humidity and ice... bless their hearts they are having ice storms galore! WA has more of a climate we like.. just snow and 'some' ice that we will have to get used to... I have a cousin up there. SOOOO many are leaving CA... kinda sad.. I was born and raised here but the taxes (hubby self employed) and other stuff is driving us out. We have friends that have left for WA, MO, ID, OK in the last couple of years. None are sorry they left. Sorry to not be of much help but you are more than welcome to take our home off of our hands. .. we are a bit south of Modesto. gettin really crowded around here though We aren't as expensive as the bay area or Sacto area... got lots of commuters living in our town. Now is sure a great time to buy here... not so good to sell though.. *whine* |

It's good to remember that large cities aren't the only part of California. Some people seem to think that it's all about LA, San Diego, San Francisco, and a few of the cities along I5 such as Sacramento.
There are plenty of small towns with a much lower cost of living. |
