I did think 80 was to durned hot for a day like today though. Wouldn't want 92...

This guy had a nice stroll though.

Oregon's answer to Huell Howser!

I've been here nearly 40 years, so I think "stroll" is more accurate than "flee." As hot as it was today, though, I felt like fleeing. We should get a good blast of wind and some flooding before March is out, but then summer is HERE.

That's Paradise Cove, north of Malibu.

Moved from Maine to So Cal decades ago primarily for the weather and better opportunities. Both, especially the former, still keep me here.

While my relatives were digging out of 30" of snow in Portland a month ago, I was in the backyard plucking oranges and other delectables from the garden.

Same reasons here, and speaking of which my "ex" just called this morning to tell me about the 3 inches of snow in her backyard... in Seattle and in the middle of March!! Nah, Climate Change is obviously just a big conspiracy started by Al Gore (...LOL)!!

Yer ex is calling? Would you take her and her bad weather back?

Well, that's what I was a wonderin. But I didn't know how Mateo gets along with the ol ex, and that might be an extra extra extra extremely sensitive thing that Senno wouldn't normally joke about.

Cause Senno heard Mateo speaking of Mateo maybe beating up someone in a bar who insulted his wife, and Senno doesn't want Mateo driving to Fresno looking for him, really, if it can be avoided.

We still get along fine, but nah, I wouldn't go that far (and the current ''missus'' wouldn't much appreciate it either). Hey, some folks gotta have a hobby, and maybe mine is collecting ''ex-es'' (though preferably not from Texas)!

Which reminds me of that old Rod Stewart quote, "Instead of getting married again, I'm going to find a woman I don't like and just give her a house!"

That's OK, I hear Fresno gals are the type who can take care of themselves (if you know what I mean...)!
