Loaded diapers, raw veggies, and ranch dip in consecutive posts ... I am postponing lunch just a bit. (3 hours behind you mainlanders ... 12:12PM here and I was just about to make my lunch salad, including raw broccoli and creamy dressing) ... give 90 minutes or so before expanding on the subject and I'll have time to pause, regroup, eat, digest sufficiently.

Thanks.

What does "1979" have to do with anything? Have things changed as far as what a teacher can and cannot show to students? Especially students in the 5th grade?

That's when I was in 5th grade; what do you think it has to do with anything? LoL. Times have changed Mars... Nowadays he'd probably be fired for that. We kept quiet about that nudie and he wasn't fired.

He'd have been fired for it in 1979 if admin had been alerted to it, too.

Why do you think we kept quiet? We didn't run home and tell like kids nowadays do...

He was truly surprised it was in there as it wasn't rated R. It was supposed to be a fun parody of Star Wars for us to watch.

Why are people so eager to post their private info on "social sites"...is it ego...or something else?

Yeah, the door is thataway over there. /point

How's life treating ya in Pahrump anyway? Cre8?

A quick poem about Pahrump:

I once found myself in Pahrump
It truly was a dump
It's in Nye County where
I thought I would die there
As it was so dry there
I needed
a camels hump
Along came a "lady"
and inquired if maybe
I'd like to enjoy her ....
I said "no thank you"
and proceeded to gag
as the old hag
was the best looking
"lady" they had
Now I been lot's of places
and seen many faces
but Pahrump takes the cake
as the smartest amongst them
is equivalent to Forest Gump...

You are far more polite than I am.

Our day program groups (D/D adults) successfully grew premium quality broccoli at an East San Jose public garden over the winter, a few blocks from Cesar Chavez's childhood home. Not bad for their first time growing anything.

Now, among other things, we're going to go for the UC Master Gardeners' new Summer Purple broccoli:

For those who don't care for broccoli, try cooking it in a pan with Olive oil and/or butter, fresh garlic, scallions, lemon and riesling or chardonnay. A whole different broccoli experience.
