As the state economy slowly rebounds in the tech centers on the coast, and spreads out into construction, real estate values, and jobs in the surrounding areas, do you think that recovery will continue into the Central Valley and the eastern half of the state? Or in an increasingly tech-dominated economy, will those areas continue to be held back by the usual differences in local culture, politics, less education, less infrastructure, etc... and perhaps hold it back even more now than ever before?

No, we are becoming feudal. The baronial zones are the blue counties and the pauperized zones are the red / purple counties.

Well, at least we are roughly comparable to Dallas and San Antonio here in Fresno and Bakersfield.

Now be nice or we will cut off your water and stop sending you food.

I'm still angry y'all stole our area code number. 559 sucks, give it back.

Well, Modesto has always been a kinda hopeless case. I mean, if Oildale looks down on Barstow, Barstow looks down on Modesto.

How come nobody ever talks about Madera is what I want to know. Even Arvin gets talked about. But not Madera. I used to stop in Madera enroute to the Bay from Fresno all the time. And I always said to myself in great wonder, as I sipped my soda by the dusty Greyhound bus stopover, "What a place this is!"

I'm just teasing about Modesto. I like it up there ok. Sorry about the work, I know it's tough.

The Amazon centers are good news.

Nully, I talk about Madera when I talk about taking the speedtrain to Madera to watch a race. And I met Tony Stewart there, cause my BIL's father works at a race shop and the owner brought in Stewart to run a race there.

What else do you need to know about Madera?

I've never been to the Madera greyhound, but if it looks like Fresno's Greyhound I can imagine it I guess.

Boys and girls, this is a fine salary in the valley.

Quote:
More than 400 psychiatric technician positions are open. The salary for those jobs range from $4,476 to $4,915 per month.

My ex and her new husband are psych techs in Porterville. He's a supervisor though.

The program at Porterville College is 2 years to get a psych tech cert or whatever they get. Can work in corrections with it or at the Developmental Centers, and group homes I guess.
