greatfire is on a distinguished road
Default Sunnyvale, San Jose, San Francisco, Mountain View, or Burbank?

Which city should I live in?

Let's say that the specific (programming) job I get doesn't matter to me, just the city.

I have a ton of student loans to pay off, I probably won't have a car, and I'm more a quiet guy (though I might have to be more social to survive LIFE).

Which city?

Well, I'm partial to San Francisco (obviously), and my second choice of those would be Mtn. View... considering you don't have a car, SF would be a more logical choice, since you'll need one in the other towns. But it all depends on what you specifically like, in terms of weather, scenery, cost-of-living, entertainment, and so forth.

All great cities, but if you have no car and will be relying on transit, San Francisco is really the only choice imo.
