I guess I'd scratch PA and Menlo- too congested, smoggy and expensive.

I lived in Richmond, Hercules, Vallejo, Suisun City, Alameda, San Leandro, Pittsburg, and Antioch.

I liked living in Richmond the best. I lived near Hilltop Mall, and it was close to a lot of things. Easy to get to San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Marin County, easy freeway access to go to Sacramento, and it never got too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer.

Hang in there, Snort baby! You'll find your way back to California ... and one day your star will light the way to that promised land of Arvin ... you, Bugs Bunny, and all those carrots ... the reward of all rewards.

Born in Hanford, then my family moved to West Pittsburg, now known as Bay Point, then Pittsburg where I grew up from 3 years old till I was 23, then I moved to Berkeley for the employment opportunities and lived in different locations over nine years from Oakland to Berkeley till the Oakland/Berkeley Hills fire of 1991, I lost nine yards that I maintained in that fire and had an offer to live in a cabin in the woods on 141 acres in rural southern Humboldt county, did that for seven years, tried to be an honest farmer, but met the obstacle called the Emerald Triangle, where if you are not growing the green, you are against them. Seven years was my limit of tolerating the political atmosphere there and moved to the northern part of the county to a small rural coastal town called McKinleyville where life is slow and everybody knows everybody. I revived my garden business and currently maintain 32 yards. I loved Berkeley, its views, its relaxed attitude, but I McKinleyville is my home now and it is the best so far. Not too cold, not too warm, not too dry and just wet enough to stay green all year.
