Default Looking to trade my small house in Lake Almanor for a house in Santa Cruz area

Well, this may be a long shot. we have a home at the base of Mt. Lassen--a gorgeous quiet area. The house is only 2 years old-a townhouse in a quiet neighborhood. We want to move somewhere near santa cruz, preeferrably inland a little: Mt. Hermon, Felton, Boulder Creek. A 1031 exchange would be perfect. Our house would sell for 365k or so. Husband is a builder so a fixer-upper would be great. No work up here unless you are in construction, then you have more than you could wish for. Not any good restaurants and little diversity. Many people retire up here or have second homes.

Hopefully, someone out there is sick of the city and wants a quiet place to live. Good schools, no movie theatre, one market. The PCT is just down the street, and Lassen National Park. Backpacking and hiking galore. Lake Almanor is great for water sports, fishing, boating.

Think about it...

Our kids live in the bay area; that's why we want to move down there. No other reason. Thanks
