Chronic hip pain from sports injury thinking of relocating to California and was wondering what is the best area for medical MJ or cannabis. I heard in colorado is another state. 52 & retired. Thanks.

San Diego county (outside of the city) seems especially friendly to medical users as there are medical pot shops all over the place. Competition is stiff and that improves service as well as lowers prices.

Thanks so much folks but wanting to avoid stressful cities. i like LA, living there in 80s but it's charged a lot since. Is there an area relaxed and chilled and MM friendly? NorCal any better than SoCal? Have friends in Venice Beach but crowds, cold, overcast makes me depressed. Thanks folks.

What is your housing budget?
Just you? Family? Married? Kids?

Retired, what else will you be doing? Hobbies? Family?

Needed medical marijuana is one small piece of information needed.

Yes, pretty much retired working occasionally online monitoring my investments.

Budget = Up to $2500 -/+ monthly rent (Could go higher if really nice place). After renting 1 year, will buy.
Family = Only me, no children.
Hobbies = Swimming, walking, lifting weights, walks in nature/beach, bicycling, reading, travel.

I'm relaxed guy, enjoy Internet, some TV, staying up late, access to 24 hour supermarket. Enjoy living healthy lifestyle, meeting new friends, etc. I like quiet, peaceful areas. Adults close to a decent airport for traveling.

Isn't high quality MM your primary concern? It's legal everywhere. But if you want serious potheads galore, that's where you find em.

I'm no pothead. I am a serious person. Please use caution when calling someone a pothead. Thanks.

I am a serious person as well, but your primary concern is mm, unless you state other criteria. Small joke in referring to the area as being full of potheads, which is common enough knowledge. I certainly did not call you a pothead.

Life is what it is up there, high unemployment, lots of meth and drugs, and don't step off the paths if you enter the forests.

But if your concern is high grade MM, I guess they do grow it well up there...
