The "California Marijuana Trail" extends into most of Oregon now. We need a fence to keep the MJ tourists spending their $$ in California. .

Dancing! Maybe in Portland. Every night we're exhausted from hiking or biking.

We're having a blast! We just left California today and are at Gold Beach for the night.

Let me give you a clue. We planned to stay in Eureka but ended up driving through to Trinidad. Eureka is very run down. Maybe we were just in the bad part of town, but that's where highway 101 takes you AND that's where many of the hotels are located. Homeless and/or junkies are not what people are hoping to find when they get to a hippie town. They're hoping to find colorful creative artists, not weathered beaten down skeletons of people. Clean Eureka up and you might improve tourism.

Sounds like you missed out on everything worthwhile about Eureka, which is 88 miles south of the Oregon border. Better luck next time.

The MJ trail has been alive and well for many decades now. You ppl are just finding out about it?

Hell, based on nullies arc of seasonal travel (for those in the know) I suspect we have a resident tour guide and didnt know it.

Sir! I take umbrage at any implication of me having any connection to marijuana ... Other than my wife [desperately] using it for medical conditions (seriously). I hate the stuff. Nor do I drink any alcohol -- there goes the wine trail. Nor do I eat any dairy -- there goes the cheese trail.

No, wait, error ... I do partake of organic yogurts. Life on the wild side.

Well maybe with the foot in the door in WA and CO, actual recreational use (and the growing and distribution to service it) will finally be nationally legalized. Then we can start getting down to business.
