This guy should have been gone years ago. California tax dollars were spent keeping him around.

When hearing the news at work, one of my co-workers checked TMZ, and their prison source said he died of Hepatitis C... which can be transmitted thru sexual contact. Could explain the "liver failure." Glad he's dead.

On a morbid note, my dad was acquainted with him. My dad used to go party in downtown LA, and one of the places he used to drink at was a place Ramirez frequented. They had apparently had a few conversations. When Ramirez's face was plastered all over tv, my dad freaked out.

Hepatitis C is normally spread by blood-to-blood contact which is commonly associated with intravenous drug use, and blood transfusions. Over 100 million people are estimated to be infected with Hepatitis C...

The neighbors swarmed. A man working on his chain-link fence smashed Ramirez over the head with a steel rod. Another man and his sons joined the chase. By the time the cops pulled up, Ramirez was a beaten man.

As Times editor Frank del Olmo wrote, "Ramirez was set upon not because he might be the Night Stalker but because he was a stranger in the neighborhood who hit a woman and tried to steal a car. You don't do that in a barrio, which can be as close-knit as a family..."

the only good thing he did was make the burglary rate drop while he was killing people..burglars knew people were waiting with guns and so they decided to lay low for awhile

I am happy he no longer exists and we dont pay for him... I hope he suffers for eternity

"I hadn’t realized until that moment the privilege we possessed, the entitlement he stole from us — the feeling of security, of living in a place that was separate from the violence in the rest of the world. We thought we earned that security because we made the right choices. We had gotten the right education, worked the right jobs...."
