Good day to all!
I plan to move to Santa Monica, can you please give an idea of the rates for aprtment rentals? and also the level of the cost of living there? Thanks.

Probabaly about 2000 for a small one bed apt. One of the highest cost of livings in the country.

Nah, 2000 is about right. We just moved from there. We had a tiny one bedroom. Also, there is the subject of rent control People move to SM and nail the furniture down. We were paying $800 because my hubby had lived there for 15 years. Rents in that area are about 1800-2000. It is a wonderful area, but very expensive. Good Luck.

The 2k is definitely worth it though.

A few questions though. Where will you be working? What is your price range.

Nearby areas to consider are Marina Del Rey, Venice, Playa del Rey and Westchester. Similar ares not near the beach, but cheaper, are Studio City, Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena. Long Beach is another alternative. But, with only three thousand, i think SoCal is out completely. You will live in complete poverty most likely.

I see. The Company is Levy Affiliated. If that is the cost in Santa Monica, my price range should at least be USD 5,000. I think that is fair estimate already. But I think the company will not grant it.
