Your best bet would be to try and find the newest apartment complex, as it would have to be built to current ada code. Good luck

Berkeley has the rep of being one of the most accessible cities in the US. Contact their local Independent Living Center and seek their help. If you have trouble locating them, call the local State Dept of Rehabilitation and get the number from them Good luck!

What exactly do you want to know? There are accessible apartments, and some fun things to do depending on your idea of fun. Are you planning to move to Berkeley or one of the other cities you posted this question in? Because you can find so much info on the internet yet it seems like you don't have a solid idea what information you want.

I am puzzled by this because access to housing is one of their main services. Center for Independent Living (Berkeley)

First, I want to thank you both for answering my post. Eureka, the center for Independent living told me that my best bet for right now is to look for housing on craigslist. finding accessibility and being able to get out and about has been difficult for the past few years I've been trying to go somewhere that I can more easily and acceptably use my social work degrees. I have family in the Bay Area and they thought that having someone closer by would make things easier than they have been. It's pretty simple really, I am now looking for much I just want the chance to be able to get out and about, go to a coffee shop, movies or shows, go listen to a band, and get a job and be able to have transportation to work. I have not been able to find that anywhere…
