I would go along with this sentiment too. Midtown is great, a lot of fun for young single folks. Lots to do, here is a listing of just the places to eat:

Midtown is a a great neighborhood, but can be pricey for a smallish apartment or house

I used to live in Sacramento back in the early 90s. If there's one thing about living up there that I hated, it was the hot summers. If you love the heat, you'll love Sacramento, that's for sure.
