Default Healdsburg/Geyserville Area

My husband and I are contemplating a move to this area, since our son has purchased acreage and a house there. We are currently active in horseback riding, rock climbing, biking and flying and are retired.
Can anyone advise me on two things:
1)How friendly is the area for year round participation inn these activities?
2)How reasonable is it to find and afford (?) boarding two horses?

We are coming from Ohio...

The climate is very good,,, winters are rainy, but if it isn't raining, expect temps in the 60's to 70's Lots of road biking on fine country roads.. I can't think of any good rock climbing in the area. The mountains are a melange of jumbled rock, but you are just a few hours from Donner Pass or Lovers Leap,, or Yosemite, all fine areas to climb.

Horseback riding,, Point Reyes is very popular and scenic, there is a horse camp on the boundary. The Mendocino National Forest is huge, lots of trail riding.

I have no idea what boarding costs may run, my guess is there are a number of stables in the area.
