... what the heck ... new life-form discovered in California ... :

New species of legless lizard found at end of California airport runway - Need to know - Macleans.ca

I suppose consensus will be that, if they had legs --- *wait for it* -- they'd flee.
Perhaps to Texas. I hear tell that's a great place for lizards.

Droves? We call those: cars. And, if they drove, they wouldn't need legs.
Prol'y why they're at the airport ... trying to catch a flight ... to Texas ... or Montana ... or N. Dakota ... maybe Deetroit. One of them places filled with oppurtunity.

Once they sobered up, they figured out they were just plain old lizards.

And in Texas they'd be in danger of winding up as boots!

But of course. The eco-freak greenie tree hugging loons love every living thing; except, of course, human beings. Think spotted owl and Delta smelt and you will get what I mean.

Meh ... What's to love?
Who despoils their own environment? (And everything else's to boot.)

No truer words

“This shows that there is a lot of undocumented biodiversity within California,” says Theodore Papenfuss, a herpetologist, in a release put out by UC Berkley.

A species of legless lizard heretofore entirely unknown to mankind is discovered living in, of all places, near the landing strip of Los Angeles International Airport. Certain human beings respond to this stimulus by compulsively and instinctually processing that information to conform within their primitive ideological template. Extinction of one or both of these species appears inevitable. Can either of these brain stem curiosities of nature long survive?
