I have heard that this winter is suppose to be a wet one in ca. Is that true ? I know it rains more in northern ca then so ca. I just hope its not a wet winter here.

Why would you say that? This part of the valley hasn't seen a drop since January.

When it rains water gets under my rooftop cooler & leaks inside. The only way to get to the leak is remove the cooler which i cant due to lack of funds. Im just hoping a wet winter doesnt cause the cooler to drop down into my mobile home. Its been leaking for yrs & the wood dry rots over time. I do plan to put a tarp on the roof & hopes it stops the leak or at least slows it down. Yucaipa only received about 6 inches of rain since july 2012. The avg is around 15".

Why do you hope that? We NEED the moisture!!!!!!

But take heart. Maybe global warming will result in less precipitation. Maybe the oncoming ice age will begin with incredible precipitation.

Only time will tell.

Food grows where water flows. Water flows where rain pours. Not to mention making the water supply for an ever growing population in CA a bit more secure.

Oh I agree. We need the rain. Just not where I'm at or on the days I want to go outside.

Signed,

"Wet" means, instead of 85 sunny days out of 90 winter days, it will only be 83 sunny days out of 90. Two less days of tennis, bike riding, outdoor basketball, grilling, short pants, roller blading at the beach or planting flowers in January.

Bummer.
