Hi,

I am writing from Pacific Beach, San Diego. Job ended recently, and I can move anytime. I have an engineering/IT background and studied nutrition (which I prefer).

I have been debating where to live for a while. I would like to stay in CA and looking for a good fit. For income, I’m pretty sure I could juggle a few things til I make it fully - tech work, interim temping, and nutrition consulting (just need a receptive audience).

To choose factors to narrow it down, here's what I think would be good:

close to parks/large natural areas
walkable, interesting parts of town, like an interesting downtown
good air quality
good for health-minded people, including vegetarians/vegans
access to healthy activities, gym, yoga studio, or martial arts
rent under $1000/month for 1 bedroom +

bonus to be near affordable housing, for possible future purchasing

Suggestions?

It's 69 times easier to find a place to live after you find a job than it is to find a job after you find a place to live.

Seems like they are good options. I eat mostly veg/vegan, does that narrow it down?
