Alright, so I wanted the foreigners who immigrated to the US, specifically California, to answer a few questions (would be great to hear the people that immigrated to the US in the past 10 years but if you have stories before that, please feel free to share!).

- How did you end up in the US?
- Why did you pick California?
- Did you come alone or with someone?
- Was it easy to find a job?
- What was your first job?
- Did you have to sign any legal contracts or are there jobs that do not require them?
- How well were you paid the first half a year or so? (per hour or better yet, monthly)
- Were you ever scammed while working for someone? (it's obvious that you are a foreigner even by the accent)
- How hard was it at the start?
- How well are you doing now?

I have some plans to move to California myself in the super-near future, so I wanted to hear people's experience!

Pretty sure you don't have to call them 'foreigners'.

I am so, so sorry if I offended anyone. That was not my intention at all... I didn't know the word "foreigner" is insulting. Really sorry.

Arrowman:

The word that you want is Immigrant . Any person who wants to come to the US to live and work has to apply as an Immigrant, and receive permission from the US Government to do so.
