Interesting paper on the mega-droughts in California a thousand years ago.

Yosemite Association - Nature Notes - Great Drought 1

This one has pictures of some of the "underwater trees". Those were growing for quite some time before dying.

Underwater in the Sierra Nevadas Climate Audit

For the current drought.....this is interesting reading. Does anybody know if there is a current version?
