Default Need ideas on where to move in california

I want some ideas on which part of california would be the least expensive for a single woman to live . I am a new nurse and I want to relocate to california from florida. Is any one can suggest me an area where I can start working and live? Thanks

Would living in the middle of Mojave desert be OK? How about in a high crime, high blight location? Dagget? How about Blythe, CA or Needles, CA?

Perhaps somewhere on the Modoc Plateau?

They're cheap.
