California lake levels at historic lows, except LA's Castaic, and Pyramid WTF?

California Data Exchange Center

Why do these lakes get to suck the Delta dry, and in Nor Cal they will most likely be rationing. Look at percentage of capacity.

I'd have to look again, but I think Folsom rose over 40 feet in February. It's a very shallow lake. Big, but shallow.

What about a few 30" pipelines from the East Coast? If they can have an All American oil line why not a couple of pipes for water?

Fine. That and some desalination plants will solve the water problem. We could even fill up the dry lakes in this state too!

Oh, god no! The entire Pacific is contaminated with radioactivity from the damaged nuclear reactor in Japan, which continues to spew, non-stop. Scientists from Cal Berkeley checked out the beaches on the coast, and said they all should be shut down. The ocean water isn't safe.

The Central Valley Project is allocating 0% water to farmers this year. That as well as drought conditions is going to have a huge impact on crops this year. Watch your local supermarket and see if prices don't rise. News report last night said rice production is going to suffer too and the price of rice will double or triple. Better stock up.
