I have always been interested in this area. I am wondering if anyone on the forum lives there..and what it is like for you (you dont have to live directly on 299.. actually away from it is preferable)

How far inland are you..>10 miles to get away from the fog but still not in oppressive summer heat?

Weather? Summer and Winter

Cost for acreage?

Lifestyle?

Commute to Eureka for shopping?

Thanks

All I can tell you is that the area around Willow Creek is hoppin'. WC has doubled in population in the last five years, lots of retirees moving in,lots of yuppification starting. Gary Barker even started a winery over there. to the point that people don't know their neighbors which is a new thing to them. May be too late in the curve to get good deals o housing, but I haven't folled prices there. Closest expensive shopping is Arcata, closest cheap shopping is Eureka, Winco and Costco. Come visit us!
