That wasn't "off-topic". That was a call for back up.

Even "ethically harvested" burls would be best left where they are from an ecological standpoint.

The incentive disappears, or at least wanes, if people refuse to buy items made from redwood burls.

Thanks for understanding!

And what I meant by coffee table was not about the roots with a piece of glass on top I meant a Redwood slab being made into a coffee table. It would be great to know that this business is legit but there is not way to really know.

Very true!

Me personally I would not want the association of anything being made out of Redwoods attached to my business when there are plenty of other available woods that are used to make wooden furniture.

Just saying

I don't need you to call backup for me. You are just a very negative poster who likes to stir the pot in the negative direction.

LOL one of your links is a link that I have posted already to get the topic back on track.

Sure there is. Ask the right people the right questions. Miranda consists of about 550 people.

WOW! I bet everyone knows something about everyone

I sincerely hope that they are legit.

I just can't comprehend how anyone could poach a majestic Redwood. I feel bad when just trimming my orange and lemon tree.

Nobody "needs" a piece of furniture made from a redwood burl. These trees are magic and so few of them are left! And how pathetic that this thread turned into an ego war!

Yea!!!! A burl poacher was arrested:

Arrest in Burl Poaching Case in Redwood National and State Parks - Times-Standard Online

Now, we can follow this one and see how it plays out. If found guilty, hopefully the punishment will fit the crime!
