Hot, hot! 130 degrees summer/ 29 degrees winter, smells funny, like sweet cabbage, dusty ( new filter for the vaccum every month! $ 350.00 or more FOR ELECTRICITY@ 1880 SQFT new home (energy star new appliances)

Yes they do. I used to go out there a few years ago. I believe the average high out there is 112. Phoenix's average is 107.

yeah I can tell you about el centro, its got the highest unemployment numbers in the nation right next to yuma az. ITs hot as heck for months on end and dont cool down at night. There are about 4 months of awesome weather, there is high crime. its in the middle of no where.

this is very true, I havent seen 130 but I have seen every year for the last 5 years 122+ during the summers. and electric bills are a killer

I live in the area, and I wouldn't recommend moving here unless absolutely necessary. The summers are unbearable. I've lived in the area most of my life and you just never get used to 125+ degree heat. The winter months are beautiful, for the most part, and the surrounding desert is beautiful to camp in and explore. The crime is kind of high in El Centro, schools aren't very good, unemployment is highest in the entire United States.
