Huh? What are you even talking about? Again, instead of (trying) to attack others personally try sticking to the topic (which is in the TOS for the site, BTW).

Views for Kashkari is the Tyrion Lannister of California politics. Like the most popular character in “Game of Thrones,” he’s emerged out of the Republican party as a rare rational humanist from a tribe packed with vicious xenophobes, weapons fetishists and autocratic Tories; like Tyrion, aka “The Imp” and “Halfman,” Kashkari is a puckish, elfin figure; and like his HBO show counterpart, the GOP wannabe is way over his head in a high-stakes game of politics and power.

Do you have any proof to back this up? I heard an interview on KPBS where Scott Peters blasted Carl for claiming social issues are not important. Scott said that it is important that things like gay marriage are legalized.

The problem with Carl is he is supported by people like Doug Manchester who donated huge amounts of money to the yes on prop 8 campaign in 2008. I don't think he is a very good role model for gay people at all. Besides that, his fiscal views are extreme.

I think some on CD would be better suited to run for office rather than our current selections offered.

I'm curious to know why Carl is not a good model for gay people and what exactly that means. Perhaps you mean we should know our places as good reliable libs. What if we are socially liberal but fiscally conservative? It's all about money in the end anyway.

Moreover, why do we gays have to stay in the Democratic plantation in perpetuity and not be like heteros? We got our marriage rights (thanks Dems) and we are no different from anyone else, right - RIGHT? We are moving to the burbs and saying goodbye to the gay ghettos that straights are moving into (once we made them nice for you; safe and hip too).

No. I like some Republicans. Kevin Faulkner seems okay. I don't like Carl and it has nothing to do with him being gay. That's a lame suggestion and you know it. He has many fiscal views that line up with the tea party. I do not like the tea party and feel they are too extreme. I have some fiscally conservative views but I also believe in healthcare reform, immigration reform, minor environmental protections (not that trout crap going on in Central California). If most Americans were fiscally conservative and socially liberal, we would have a Libertarian congress and president. Republicans claim to be fiscally conservative but always put us in a deficit by starting unnecessary wars and implementing "trickle down" economics. I don't feel that every poor person is a lazy leech. There are people that will be poor no matter what because of their circumstances. They need help getting a job that pays a living wage.
