American Legislative Exchange Council | Right Wing Watch

No bias there, huh.

Since you've come over to the California forum to raise our consciousness, how about you look up some actual statistics for us - not ideological agenda-driven "projections". K?
So you counter her supposed "right wing biased website" with info from a completely left wing biased website? What a joke.

Actually, mbell old buddy, I posted three references. Of three different types. Including fighting fire with fire, yes. You don't like one, read another. Or, better yet, look up the organization she used as her source yourself. And come back and tell us how it rates. I'll keep the light on for ya.

the closest you will find to new York on the west coast will be in the Bay Area. this is only with certain food like Pizza. I am told that the some of the pizza in Berkeley is very similar to New York style but I don't know.

I asked why he was so excited, and he said hot dogs were his favorite, BUT, he was from Chicago and the hot dogs in LA weren't as good as the Chicago ones. I just smiled and said okay. I've got two friends in school, one was born in New York and moved to Los Angeles as a kid, and the other was born here in California, but has lived in New York and currently lives back here in California. The native New Yorker is always talking about going home, which is fine, but my other friend is always talking about the hot dog thing, too. She always says the hot dogs here aren't that good. One time I was eating a hot dog with just ketchup, and she looked at me and the hot dog and said something like "That isn't a real hot dog, in New York..." I was so irritated that I blurted out this is Los Angeles, not New York. My other friend from Texas complains about the BBQ and soul food in LA.

I went to New York this past Christmas, and my grandma treated me to Mexican. The food was nowhere near as good and authentic as the Mexican food one can get in California, but it was decently good. When my grandma asked how I liked the food, instead of telling her I've had better in California, I told her the food was good, and she was happy. I never complained about failing to get a really good burger in New York, either. I just enjoyed what was given to me.

That's unfortunate that you've experienced transplants talking smack like they've been there forever.
I would get on your last nerve because I sometimes do this on purpose LOL. In San Diego, I complain that the Chinese Food and Seafood isn't as good as the Bay Area. In the Bay Area, I tell people that the Mexican Food in San Diego is way better LOL

I almost said that this sounds like most of San Diego save the central part of the city. Otherwise, it's exactly as they described LOL

Sticky state, huh? That 'splains it. My wife and I are both California natives who settled elsewhere in retirement. Guess the only rational explanation is that we must have come unglued!
