So was my oldest child/son!

My second child/son was born at Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital in Newport Beach.

My fourth child/daughter was born in San Bernardino and my fifth in Bakersfield.

I was born at North Island (Coronado) Naval Hospital in San Diego and my children's mother at the Children's Hospital in Orange.

My wife was born in the Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo.

Guess we kinda covered the map!

Oh yeah! My third child/daughter was born at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. We got around!

Neither my wife nor I nor either of my sons nor four of our 13 grandchildren still live in CA.

I'm part of the 55% born in the state, Palo Alto Stanford University Hospital. Parents and older sister are among 28% born outside the U.S.

Mother in Los Angeles, father in Oceanside. My maternal grandfather in Glendale, his parents elsewhere.

My mother was born in Van Nuys. I mentioned to her that it was the "porn capital of the world" once. She wasn't amused

My kids were born at Mary Birch in San Diego, but they left for Denver 3 days later. So they're technically also some of the "horrible Californians" who are filling up Colorado lol!

Des Moines was fine for that length of time. Only thing that kind of started to wear on me was realizing I was a thousand miles from any mountains or ocean. I may not go to either a lot right now, but at least they're a reasonably short drive away if I should choose to.

I was born in the Richmond Hospital, my mother was born in the Point Richmond Hospital of Scandinavian parents; a Norwegian father and Swedish Mother. My Dad was born in San Francisco at home, delivered by a midwife of French Basque parents who immigrated to the US in 1901, my Grandparents owned a laundry in SF but lost that and their home in the SF Earthquake and moved across the bay to start over in San Pablo where my Dad grew up and met my mom.
