Thank you to the voters of Shasta County for successfully passing Measure A.
There were many hardworking people who dedicated huge amounts of volunteer time to get out the vote and explain the issues.

There are no winners... illegal dope growing will continue... and if the blogs are correct non compliance will be high.. perhaps not the 95 percent as before but still high... over time people who want to be a part of society will abide by the law... the rest will risk complaints by neighbors..
Sheriff Bosenko has already stated policy ... dopers will NOT be targeted... the department will act upon complaints.
There will be a legal challenge to the ordinance...but thankfully case law from Sacramento county and Fresno county has already been upheld by the supremes... have at it..spend some of those ill gotten gains.

Time for some much needed reflection...enforcement starts as soon as the election results are certified.

Thank you nomoresnow... we raised just under 14k...all grassroots... we were civil...we didn't tear down signs... we didn't try to intimidate.. we just stated the issues factually... we battled against the ACLU.. and probably 100k war chest of cash..unreported ...we knew that by adding up the costs from the no on a folks...
Again..there are no winners...
I still feel profoundly sorry for people who waste the gift of life in unrealized potential ... moments stolen in a fog.. and for the single digit persons whom mj really helps... you'll grow legally or go to the non profit ... still trying to wrap my head around that... sellers in the city of Shasta lake...

I read last night that both sides on this issue only raised around $14,000 each. That seemed so minimal, and so even - seemed unlikely to be true, honestly. I wouldn't be surprised if you're right about unreported funds. Heck, the radio commercials alone had to have cost more than $14,000!

There's a lot that's really good about this new law. I was just concerned for the small legitimate patient. They'll probably just grow them in their closet now. I'm glad to hear law enforcement will go by complaints. Hopefully, there won't be some zealot out there making things difficult for the small, legitimate guy.

Will be interesting to see if/how things change.
