I notice a lot of Pitbull owners take pride in how vicious their Pitbulls are by training their Pitbulls to attack objects that resembles a person. How do you think those Pitbulls would behave when the see people that look like rag dolls they attack for training.

It's the thugs who are the problem. If you ban pits...then what are next? Same thugs, another vicious dog. Breed doesn't matter.

No. Pitbulls are different. A pitbull took my dog down by the neck & would have ripped her apart if my husband had not dropped his knee and his full weight on that dog's neck to stop it's tearing, ripping motions. It did not loosen its grip on my dog until I dumped water on it. The attack was unprovoked. Pitbulls are dangerous.

Then why don't you start a campaign to have all of them killed? What are you waiting for?

I agree. I don't care whether they've been owned by a thug or by a sweet old lady; they are unpredictable because of their breeding. Just because you raise that dog to be a loving pet doesn't mean that one day it will snap. How many times have we seen or heard that pit bull owner say, "He's never done this before!"

My Border Collies instinct to herd is so strong when I am walking with him on a leash and he sees a kid on a skateboard, scooter, or small bicycle he just goes nuts wanting to herd them
Pit Bulls were bread to fight dogs and their instinct is to instantly attack other dogs.
Its nonsense that if there raised nicely they won't attack Its their instinct.

Maybe we should ask pets owners to have liability insurances like owning cars.

Only because of conditioning by their owners. There is no "violent" gene that makes them monsters compared to other dogs.

That was because of its conditioning. My cousin's pit bull was the nicest dog I ever knew that played relentlessly with my younger siblings and was not even the slightest bit violent. It's not genetics; it's upbringing.

Only because people make them dangerous.

Similarly, "assault" (whatever that means) rifles are not anymore dangerous than "hunting" rifles since mechanically they are both the same, namely semi-automatic (except for bolt-action and lever-action rifles).

Society would be a lot better if we thought more with logic instead of our first emotional response.
