My wife and I are looking to leave Missouri(MISERY). We would like to find affordable housing in CA. 1-4 hours away from the beach is fine, as long it's in a nice area with no snow( or cold).

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank You

Well whats your budget like? How much is your combined salary? What do you do? I'm sure you've read in previous threads, affordable and California dont really go together.

Funny thing about Missouri - I know a ton of people that have left CA for many reasons but the only ones that seem to always come back are those who move to Missouri!

Why California? Have you lived here before? Do you have family here? There are some positives but there are so many more negatives about living here.

Fresno will be good for you. I love the Arkansas & Missouri Ozarks.

Yes I lived in CA before. We moved from there because cost of living about 10 years ago. Is there anywhere in CA that's not with gangs and nice place without the high cost of living not cold.

By the way, GO NINERS, better than Rams, and I loved it when Rams had worse record. Those fans here are rair weathered fans. I've always been a NINER fan with Brodie, Montana, Young Rice, Craig, Clark, I could go on.

We just plan on moving without jobs, have enough for about 6 months survival, I hope.

Thanks for your help

I've always hated the niners. I remember John Brodie, Gene Washington. I grew up with Roman Gabriel, Jack "Mr. Ram" Youngblood, Lance Rentzel, Lawrence Mccutcheon, etc.

Kezar Stadium.

Oh well, the niners have all the rings. I can't say much. The LA Rams never won the Superbowl.
