In other words, whatever democrats have done, none of it ruined California. So what's the issue?

UMMMMM, do I really have to break down the simple idea I put forth in my previous post?????

California has a ton of things going for it, that is why IN SPITE OF what the Dimwitocrats have done to it, California remains a great state.

Some of the nicest weather in the country............I am SURE the Dimwitocrats would like to take credit for that!

California has the best quality of life, especially if money isn't an issue. The state has done a great job preserving nature and promoting small businesses. When you travel to most states it's just strips malls, franchised restaurants and big box stores.

Hmmm, I guess you don't know that about half of the states in the country have higher overall tax rates than California does. And unlike California, they don't own pretty much everything.
You have it backwards, only one state has higher overall tax rates than California does.

In California, many of us think everything is great. So why fix something that many of us don't feel is broken?
This can only be said, by someone that has no problems. What about the other people. California has by far the highest poverty rate in the Nation. San Francisco has a poverty rate of 23.4%. Los Angeles poverty rate 26.9%. And when you look at the state poverty rates by county, you see the highest poverty rates in the entire nation are largely along the coast in what people brag about as being the greatest area in the nation.

You may not care about what is happening and think that nothing is broken, but how about all those poor people in California that are suffering due to the high rate of poverty in the state.

And the changes in California.....People fleeing the state. For the last 9 years, more Californians have left the state of an average of over 200,000 residents leaving every year, than have entered the state from other states. California keeps growing in population, but that is caused by immigration from other countries a large percentage of them being illegals.

Hundreds of Thousands Flee Democrat-Run California

Rich People Leaving California for Mysterious Reason | FrontPage Magazine

A lot of those Californians leaving, are just following the jobs that are leaving California. Companies like Toyota leaving, and Apple building it's new computer facility in Texas. And Tesla putting it's new battery factory in Nevada. These thousands of jobs are hurting California as they are now in other parts of the country.

Why Are Companies Leaving California?

Why Are California's Businesses Disappearing? - Businessweek

The big point is, the businesses leaving California and the California companies opening new facilities out of state, are hurting California and one reason the unemployment and underemployment rates are as high as they are. Also one reason for the high poverty rates around the state.
Why Are Companies Leaving California?

California is now solidly locked into the Democratic party in control. One reason is that the non white voters especially Hispanic are solid Democrat Voters. The White population is now less than the Hispanic population, and the gap is growing every day as more white residents leave. And White Flight as it is known, has been going on for years.

All of this hurting California for the future even more than today. The problem is that so many people in California that are doing just fine, refuse to look at the problems the state faces. I personally would like to see California turn around and start to prosper. It is my home state as my family on both sides were in California by the middle of the 1800s, and I have a lot of family there. But as long as people like the link at the start of this post said, many people are still wearing rose colored glasses, and refuse to admit the state has problems.

His statement said: In California, many of us think everything is great. So why fix something that many of us don't feel is broken?

We are Purple as can be. Look at the voting record of the state. Democrats did not get a landslide victory. They won on a thin margin. I would bet that you have many more people that failed to show up at the polls, why should they? It always seems as if the Democrats win anyway. If people would wake up and realize that all they have to do is vote the changes would happen here in California. The Republicans have to create a platform not only here locally but on a national level that people can understand and get excited about. You want to know why the Republicans won the Senate and still have control of the House? It is because people are upset with the Democrats and what they have done to this Nation of ours. In time those people will forget and stop punishing the Democrat party. In time they will be back in power Nationally and all because the Republican's fail to realize that Conservatism works. Forget being Moderate, forget siding with the Liberals. Don't run scared because you will lose an election. Be Conservative, have a back bone and help us get this State and Nation back on track.

The only reason why elections in California are somewhat close (although it's never nail biting like in Florida) is because Republicans here are much more moderate than average. If they were hardcore Republican, they would have zero chance.
