All of the west and east coast is pretty liberal........and scads of cities scattered throughout the country are also very liberal.

I agree, CA does not really stand-out among all of the other lefty states.

No offense, but simply repeating stock conservative "talking points" is what usually makes "fiscal" conservatives appear so indistinguishable from the "ideological" kind!
Nonsense! It applies to ALL just prior to elections regardless of political leanings.

California is big enough to have all types in it. Some of the most conservative people I've ever met are out here in California.

Because of Democrats Calif. has the nations highest income, sales, and gas tax. And smog check is a goverment forced expense so it is a tax making vehicle registration the highest too. And Democrats are trying to overturn propisition 13 by changing buisness property tax first then home owners property tax. And Democrats want to make it so tax increases only require a 55% of the vote to pass.

First of all, nobody calls it "Cali". Well, except folks on CD.

Secondly, having lived there for 20 years, I do know CA. And your reply pretty much sums up why conservatives pick on CA. Because if you are conservative, you are mocked, ridiculed and bullied.
