Barbara Boxer announced that she wouldn't be running in the 2016 election.

Could Neel Kashkari be her replacement?

No. She's always been too far left. I don't always agree with Feinstein, but she is more of a moderate Democrat.

I will not miss her at all, though I doubt her replacement will be any better.

^ Likewise, and not 'cuz of her "liberal" tendencies, as she's simply become too 'entrenched' which leads to an inevitable sense of 'entitlement' (regardless whether Republican or Dem). Pelosi's another, for all the same reasons (and then some)!

Could you give some examples of "too far left"? I haven't followed her career. I did a quick check on the internet. She voted to eliminate the tax incentive companies get for sending jobs overseas. That sounds pretty good. She opposed the Iraq war. (Why were we there, again??)

Met her on her initial campaign when she first ran for office. Liked her then, and even liked her staff (that's rare - campaign staff are usually vermin). Been one of the better Senators over the years, especially in irritating the whack jobs.

Nope! She has trampled all over 2nd Amendment rights with her communist anti-gun rights and anti-American bills for years. She can go straight to hell. Just need to get the old crazy bat Feinstein to follow her.

Glad she's leaving. I remember her from her serving as a Marin County supervisor way back when.

I doubt that Kashkari can win any elective office in California. This state is just way too far gone liberal.
