I like Harris, but she needs to finish out her time as Attorney General first. She doesn't have enough experience in government yet.

Next? I suggest adult diapers.

"Ancient history" is any semblance of conservative moderation. The man was AG from 91 - 99 and House member up to 2010. But that has nothing to do with the intelligence of questioning the qualifications of the man purely because of his skin color.

Your thinking (50 years in California or not) is more similar to conservative politics south of the Masson-Dixon line and east of the Mississippi river than it is to the rest of California (outside of Huntington Beach)...
Um! Shabazz, you may wish to take a close look at your posting history. Then you can address race if you so choose.

But you're right. She did take on some decent issues. My remark was because she did not articulate a real platform when she announced her run. As a seasoned political "operative" (I hate the way that sounds), that tells me she needs a bit more seasoning. That's all.

By the way, I'd rather have several Harris' than one Boxer in Congress.

Oh yeah! We're about 300 miles west of the Mississippi but I admit, in the "South" for your purposes (read up on the Civil War in the West).

Really? Huntington Beach is now the Great South of California Who knew? And to think that I was mostly raised in Newport Beach and never had a clue back in the 50s and 60s, or even the 70s when I returned to CONUS as a 20-something adult!

She's only half black. Her mother is Indian.

Not that it makes any difference.

Elizabeth Warren doesn't stand for anything much? Wow. Are you sure you're not confusing her with H. Clinton? I realize that women tend to all look alike, but you know, one's blonde and the other's brunette, so that should help you differentiate.

Kamala will irritate as least as many aristocrats as Warren. Which is entirely appropriate.

I couldn't agree more.

I agree and couldn't care less about skin color. That has to be one of the worst reasons to vote for anyone.

Actually, Ruth, I was referring to Harris and her lack of a starting platform; nothing and no one else.

That's half the fun of the kabuki we call politics.

Personally, I hate platform heels. They make my calf muscles bulge. So, again speaking for myself, it's a plus in my view if Kamala doesn't like them either.

And they make people wobble. Come to think of it, perhaps we should be checking all politicians' footwear. It might explain a lot.
