Hello I have a question? See I have a Florida license and want to buy a car here in Ca and drive it back to Florida. Can I license and tag it here in CA and How.. Thank You

you can buy the car but you will pay California sales tax. You will get a 'title only' from California DMV and a trip permit. That will allow you to drive it to Florida where you will go to DMV and register it. You will need to check with Florida and see if they will apply the tax you paid in California toward the tax you pay there on vehicles. If you are buying from a private party you should be able to just drive the car to Florida and register it there without paying tax in California.

Thank You for the Reply. But I got a better answer. I called the DMV here in LA and they told me I don't need a CA licence to register and drive a car in CA.. CA don't require it. So that's what I did...Lol... I Got Wheels....

Good! I think I must have misunderstood your question- no, you don't need to even have a driver's license to register a car, I thought you were asking about the car license
