Or should OC be its own metro. Now I was born and raised in Orange County and there has only been a few dozen times in which I've ever been to LA. What do you think?

I think OC is the same metro area as LA, as is the Bay Area to San Francisco. That doesn't mean I would ever question Santa Ana's or Anaheim's or Oakland's or San Jose's independence. That's just how it goes.

OC is certainly in LA's metro. I am an OCer who is writing this from West LA right now. I don't think I would want to live in LA, but I love visiting.

The difference is, SJ and Oakland have always been considered part of the same Bay Area, OC really has always had it's own identity up till now.

With the CSA's expanding, pretty soon Socal will just be LA and Norcal will be the Bay Area.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim seem to think they're a LA team.

Do San Diego and Jefferson have a say in this?

Orange County obviously shares the same urban footprint as LA, are people seriously arguing otherwise? You could drive from South Bay into OC, and without the signs giving it away, you'd have no idea you just entered another county.

There is no "leaving one metro, entering another" dynamic like OC and San Diego have.
