I was a child when Gov. Brown's father was CA's governor, and a young adult when this Brown was governor the first time around.. California was thriving under their leadership. Gray Davis was doing pretty well, and then idiocy happened in the name of Arnie. My home state is drowning & you think calling Brown back is a solution???

It seems to me the only ones that are supporting him are the city apartment dwellers for whom this largely does not apply to. MANY of those renters would love to be homeowners themselves but are priced out of the market and their envy gives this action a chance to "stick it to" the homeowners they resent and secretly wish they could be one of. It's always easy to say things like "we are in this together and have to make sacrifices...kill your lawn" when they personally are not directly affected, have no vested interest in cost and/or effort in said lawns and consequently will not have to make any sacrifices themselves.

Interesting comments by the renters getting a taste (pun intended) of sub-metered water. In many cases renters will be sacrificing, as it should be.
