As paradoxical as it sounds, you can't just get up and "leave" a place without a lot of money in the bank, unless you have good enough credit to qualify for a reasonable loan.

Or in my case, I was able to relocate because I had job offer at the area where I was relocating to.

Yes, that's another possibility, though that's probably not an option for most people unfortunately.

Its probably the most feasible way to relocate out of state is lining a job up in your target location.

You obviously haven't traveled much of CA. It also depends what part of TX you are talking about but I'll take most of TX over Stockton, Hicktorville, Desert Hot Springs, Sky Valley, Yucca Valley, Fresno, Hesperia, Thermal, Barstow, Indio, Hemet, Landers, 29 Palms, San Bernardino and about a dozen others. I mean, unless you are into violent crime, gangs, dirty hookers and meth labs.

You know....for someone who professes to have travelled as much as California as you claim, I'm aghast at your incorrect geography. Please note the two bolded cities in particular.

The correct spellings for those places are Victimville and San Bernaghetto.

I thank you in advance for correcting this oversight going forward.

I want to know how he knows that [dirty] hookers don't bathe.

Anyway, I'm a native Californian who was born in San Diego and mostly raised in Newport Beach. I spent the last 20 years of my CA residency in Sacramento. I also spent a lifetime (three years) in Bakersfield due to my occupation and, thanks to Uncle Sam, was stationed in Texas twice; once in the mid-60s and again at a different post in the mid-70s.

As much as I disliked it (being kind here) and as much as I hate saying anything good about it, I reluctantly have to admit that in my experience, Bakersfield was better than most of Texas.

You'd live in Bakersfield and rent out Texas. Ouch.
