I feel like if you get busted going 130 anywhere in Los Angeles, your car won't just be impounded, BUT SEIZED. But idk the laws and what not.

Ah Germany, get busted for drunk driving, DUI, and you lose your license for life. Good for them.

^^^ Remember my last Beer Garden get together there...

I was heading back to the States and colleagues wanted to give me a proper send off.

Several asked if they could ride with me since I was not drinking... found it strange at the time and then learned they could not have a good time if they had to worry about driving.

So they let the guest of honor be the DD, how considerate.

So what is the point of everyone in Cali driving exotoic race cars? Why bother having a mazeratti if you can't use second gear?

The BMW club is quite active here... plenty of M series out at the track on weekends...

Others just appreciate the engineering and being exclusive.

My boss bought his for fun and investment and got both...

In 2005 he paid 160k for a brand new showroom Ford GT.

Enjoyed the car for 7 years putting 3500 miles on it... then sold it for 210k to an East Coast collector...

Even deducting insurance and tags... he still had a nice profit.

I totally agree. If I could afford to plunk 300-400k on a car, you can bet your a$$ it's gonna be for a Rolls Royce, not some stupid Ferrari.
