Lets see, a standard tank holds about 20 gallons, so figure that is $10.00 more in CA (At 50 cents per gallon more) and that buys twice as many eggs as you could before and still have $3.51 more per week, which is over $170.00 more a year (figuring one tank a week) and twice as many eggs.

Oh, and you have to fill the tank more often in CA because the special blend gets worse mileage too.More pollution per gallon that way.

I moved here from Reno and gas is usually cheaper here than it is in Reno. We're retired, so gas is not a big deal to us, we just don't drive that much. My Kia Sorento SUV gets 24 mpg on the freeway and that's pretty much year round I haven't seen it change due to any differences in the gas formulation. The only time I ever saw my mpg drop significantly was during the winter in Reno when I had to use 4WD due to snow or ice on the roads.

But you know what, I love California- if gas was $2.00 a gallon more I would still live here. I lived in that craphole Reno for 14 years and as soon as my husband retired the house went on the market and we started implementing our plan to return to California. And I would never, ever move to some place like Phoenix or Houston because the gas is cheap.

Absolutely there's a difference, I'm thinking you probably haven't spent much time in either Sacramento or Reno or you wouldn't be asking me that.

I have spent enough time in both to know they are much more alike than not.

One has a river, the other gets colder in the winter, one has terrible air quality, the other... Can't really think of any other differences.

You mean, aside from the fact that Washoe county has about 400,00 people and Sacramento county has 1.5 million?

I'm not arguing, the two cities are more alike than not. Maybe you just enjoy living in the hot desert with poor air quality. Whatever floats your boat.

Never thought the two compare other than they both have rivers...

Sacramento is the capital and Reno is well... Reno.
