Well, here's the entire list of town that are within 20 minutes (give or take) of the major entrances to Edward Air Force Base:

North Entrance:
North Edwards, Boron, Mojave, California City

West (Main) Entrance:
Mojave, Rosamond, Lancaster, Antelope Acres, Quartz Hill (maybe)

South Entrance:
Lancaster, Palmdale, Lake Los Angeles, Hi Vista, Quartz Hill (maybe)

Since Edwards Air Force Base is pretty big, and has multiple entrances, I decided to list for you all the towns within 20 minutes of each of the three entrances I'm familiar with. I don't know if there is any sort of entrance on the east side of the base, so I can't help with that, but if there is, there aren't any towns I know of on that side, so it may not matter. About the only thing near there that would count as a town is Kramer Junction, which is really just a couple gas stations, restaurants, and a truck stop.

If it's just for research... that statement is fine. If it's for a possible relocation, then that statement is going to take on a whole new meaning.

jdavid nailed it for you!
