I applied to a job and I listed a commercial business for my address because that is where I get my mail. I live with someone else, but my name isn't on any documents with that address. Will the background check show it is not a residential address. I know e verify uses your social security number to verify address, but I don't have any recent addresses associated with my social security number. Will the background check notify them or would they only know if they specifically searched the address.

I was between apartments when I got it so it matches the commercial address because that is where I had it sent. I do plan on filing a change of address, but I submitted the job application over a month ago before I moved in with my friend. I didn't change my license address because I dinf want there to be any discrepancies with the application. They basically told me I had the job pending the background check. I planned on not saying anything, unless there is an issue with the background check. Then I would tell them the address of the person I am living with.

Doubt it would be important. The CDL is the main form of ID used at hiring, and a job background check is looking for criminality, financial irresponsibility, or a history of filing workers comp lawsuits.
