$4.64 for 91 today. I have no kids, so the only reasons I drive is to: buy food, pick up presciptions, and see my doctor. That's it. The gas stations around here have few customers. When I DO drive, there are only a few people at the pumps. Don't drive unless you must. That's the only ammo we have. If you work, carpool. Iv'e said before, I have carpooled since the 70's. There was 6 of us. We all met at a central location, then piled in one car and off to work. I no longer work, so I don't have to worry about it. It's FUN. Try it if you can. Stay safe, skitow.

Just found out that the voters in Union County in southeastern South Dakota have approved a zoning ordinance for Hyperion Energy Center that could lead to our country's first new oil refinery in over 30 years! As the old saying goes, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step."

Onward to American energy independence! Here's the article link: Sioux City Journal: Union County approves zoning ordinance for Hyperion

AAA has a great website that gives current state-by-state average gas prices, and you can click on any state to look at gas prices in its metro areas. If you want to. It's pretty depressing nowadays. http://www.fuelgaugereport.com/sbsavg.asp

I just paid $4.37. $43.10 to fill up. I remember when I could fill it up for about half that amount. Ah, the good old days of fast cars, cheap fuel, and crowded freeways!
