It looks like the price is similar for San Francisco and the Humboldt bay region. At least in the Bay area one can cross the bay to find cheaper gas. We have to go at least 90 miles for cheaper gas in Oregon or 143 miles to Redding.

I paid $3.35 at the Arco on Sunset Blvd and Wilton Pl. today. It's gone up from a couple days ago.

As of today the price is now $3.70 for regular and $4 for diesel here. It went up 6 cents for regular and 10 cents for diesel overnight.

$3.51 for regular at the Shell station at Magnolia and Van Nuys Blvd. in Sherman Oaks (SF Valley), but the extortionist right off the 101 freeway at Van Nuys Blvd. is charging $3.79 for regular!!!  |

This is what it went up to today. I almost did something with a brick that would be very uncomfortable for me, especially while driving.

Today it is now $3.80 for regular, $3.90 for premium and $4 for vpower or super, diesel is still at $4.20, at least till tomorrow. Fortunately I have ten gallons of gas reserved from when I last filled up and was purchased at $3.34 a gallon. That will take me another 3 or 4 weeks till I need to fill up again.
