Moving to Manteca-Need information (Lathrop: apartments, lease, home)

I am a single woman looking to move to manteca. I have got a job at Lathrop & have been able to find apartments for lease at Manteca. It would really be of help to me if anyone can tell me what are the safe areas I can stay at? Would West Center Street or Crom Street or Cherry Lane be a good place to live in. Kindly do let me know.

I don't think there are any more left.... the whole "growth" as left Manteca ( my home town) a pit. We left the state several years ago, have visited and don't miss a thing!
