And the Sierra has gotten a huge amount of snow. A friend of mine said %130 above average. Does that even make sense? I don't think so. Math is not my forte and my friend smokes a lot of pot! But yeah, lots of snow in the Sierra and that is a very good thing!

Don't be posting under the influence, blue! 130% above average is a good thing. The concern is that under normal conditions, that would last through spring into summer. The last few years, though, spring weather has been so warm and dry that the snow is gone too soon to provide summer runoff.
