Default I'll be working in Sacramento, considering Woodland?

Any comments on the commute from Woodland, to So. Natomas area?
Have a jr high kid & considering private school.
Alternatively, thinking about Davis (public schools fine) or midtown Sac. (private schools, better?)
We would rent a house or maybe purchase eventually...if we can take the heat (coming from a small, cool coastal town) and if the prices get affordable. Thanks for any advice you can offer...

I work in Woodland and the drive to Natomas wouldn't be bad at all, depending on traffic 15-20 min. I honestly can't tell you about the schools though. Davis area is more "high class" so the schools may be better there but no kids in school now so you would need more feedback on that situation. Woodland is a nice smaller town with more new homes going up off of road 102 where the new Costco is so you may want to check into that area.

You might want to check out West Sac, which is an area on the way up. I just read that Sac home prices aredown 28% so your bargains will be in Sac andclose in burbs not so much is Woodland or Davis, great places both. Sac is a great city and the heat is only oppressive from June to Oct. Good luck!
